Stephen is Vice President of Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) at Goldman Sachs. In FCC, his team works to protect the firm, its people and clients, and the industry from malicious and negligent actors globally, and works to support the firm's global insider threat and conduct programs. Stephen joined Goldman Sachs in 2015 and previously was a member of FCC’s Financial Intelligence Unit and Forensics teams. He was named associate in 2017 and vice president in 2019. At Goldman Sachs, Stephen is a member of the Firmwide LGBT Network. Prior to joining the firm, Stephen served as Aide to Mayor Steven Fulop in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he served as the mayor’s traveling aide, staffed and supported him at official duties and public events, and represented his administration with constituents and business and community leaders throughout the region. Stephen earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a master's degree from Columbia University. He served as Fulbright Scholar in Poland, and is based in New York.
